We are so thrilled to launch BOLOLA and so happy you are here.  We had an idea last summer, ran with it, and are excited to share it with you and the world.

Lauren (“Lola”) and Martha met while working in New York City’s luxury fashion world.  They quickly bonded over a shared love of jewelry and getting dressed, and the belief in fashion as a powerful tool of self-expression.

Last July, Lauren purchased her first bolo tie at a vintage fair in Lake Michigan.  After bringing it home, she couldn’t stop thinking about how much she loved the shape of the bolo tie, worn traditionally with a button down shirt or loosely and layered with other necklaces.  But, she wanted one that was more “her” - aka gold (or silver), embellished with gems and diamonds.  

She immediately shared her idea with Martha, knowing she would “get it” and could help her find what she was looking for.

But, they couldn’t find it.  So they made it.  And, alas, BOLOLA was born.

Lauren and Martha believe in creating beautiful, quality products that will live in a wardrobe forever.  Sourcing and using genuine gemstones was important to both of them, and honors the rich Western heritage of the bolo tie.

BOLOLA’s first collection is inspired by the beauty of asymmetry and the colors of the American West.
